The talks from the spirit are always the best. Trust that the Lord will show you the way in which to talk and you will be fine. You are an awesome speaker. Hoping I catch it and am not spending all of sacrament in the halls.Rhondahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08941835733515326213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5678087960937231502.post-72467939227266330912009-07-17T08:14:39.967-05:002009-07-17T08:14:39.967-05:00Shay,
This topic intrigues me...I guess I am not t...Shay,
This topic intrigues me...I guess I am not thinking of this LITERALLY "going west" but rather I am thinking of it as a metaphor. Am I willing to do what is asked of me and if I am, how FAR west am I going? Do I stop short of one set of earings? Am I stopping at being prepared? Am I stopping short of getting out of debt because it's just too hard? Am I willing to go only half way "west" on serving? Am I making the whole trip in paying an honest tithe?

I guess that most active members might say YES! I'd go West! but do we truly go "west" in what we are asked to do? Personally I don't beleive that we will ALL physically pick up and go west but rather we are called to lift where we stand. So going west to me means doing those things that we are asked to do here and now -- not deciding to do what is asked if we get a call to go west! Sometimes the "smaller" things are the big things so yes, while I would go if I was asked, I think that we are asked in many different ways to make our way westward -- away from the world, following the prophet, showing up to be of service, getting out of debt, etc.

Those are just some of my thoughts on that. I am anxious to hear how your talk goes! :)Loretta Valentahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03985505060639661849noreply@blogger.com
